Business Development Executive

Job Type: Part time, Permanent

Hours: Starting 10 hours per week increasing to 20 per week

Salary: £25per hour, (works out £25,000 pa)

Location: Remote

AF Communications is a training company that specialises in drama technique and psychology theory. They are experts in communication training because of their unique blend of teaching, performance expertise and business application.

AF Communications is looking to strengthen its business development function to capitalise on several years of growth and further scale it’s business.  The current priority for business development is lead generation: identification of potential purchasers, approach/cold calling and securing an introductory/pitch meeting.

Role Objectives:

  • Researching potential new clients

  • Contacting businesses through a range of communication channels

  • Creating a sales / new business development strategy.

  • Generate revenue by creating new opportunities

  • Delivering product pitches and presentations both remotely and in person (if necessary)

  • Working independently as well as part of a team.

  • Must be able to manage own time effectively

  • Record business development activity and analyse what’s worked, what hasn’t and find new methods to improve

Lead generation is the current priority, but there is scope to increase the role over time to include CRM development, email marketing and other business development and sales strategies. So there is room for growth and expansion in this role.

This role is perfect for someone with Business Development / sales experience and wanting to get stuck into a new project and deliver result to help drive the business forward.

Experience:

  • Business Development or Sales - 2 years +

  • Presenting and pitching to clients

  • Microsoft Office

  • Using CRM systems

  • Proactive, can do attitude

  • Well organised

  • Manages time well

  • Works independently and as a team

  • Confident speaking to new businesses

Hours/Fee

  • Starting with 10 hours a week for the first month at £25 an hour and then a possible increase of up to 20 hours a week – depending on results

  • Work hours are flexible however the workload should ideally be spread out through the week
